Criticism of Capitalism: When confronted with the failures or issues of communism, communists often emphasize the flaws and injustices of capitalism in response. They argue that capitalism neglects poverty and inequality, pushing people into competitive pursuit of profit. Hope for the Future: Despite current problems or failures, communists believe in the efficacy of communist ideals for the future. They see the need to adapt and develop communist principles to build a fairer and more equal society.
Consistency with Ideology: Communism often relies on strict ideology, and deviating from that ideology can undermine its consistency. Therefore, communists may hesitate to change policies or decisions once they are made, as it could compromise ideological integrity.
Maintaining Trust in Leadership: Communist states are often led by powerful figures, and maintaining trust in their leadership and decisions is crucial. Reversing decisions could undermine the credibility and authority of these leaders. Addressing External Criticism: Communist states are frequently subjected to external criticism and hostility, and changing decisions internally could be seen as providing ammunition to external critics. Therefore, reversing decisions might be viewed as endangering the stability and security of the state. Preserving Political Power: Communist regimes often prioritize maintaining their grip on power. Reversing decisions could potentially affect political support and the maintenance of power. Due to these reasons, communists often tend to avoid reversing their decisions.
